We Offer Prenatal Care and More!

We know that you have a choice when it comes to the doctors you turn to, including your OBGYN. Our team here at Capital Women's Care Division 66 goes the extra mile to make sure that you get the treatment and individualized care you need every time you walk through our doors. Prenatal care is an important part of every pregnancy, as it can identify potential issues early on to reduce the risk for complications or health problems during your pregnancy.

You must find an obstetrician that you feel comfortable with, as you will be coming in for regular checkups throughout your pregnancy. You’ll want to schedule your first prenatal appointment as soon as you suspect that you’re pregnant (or have received a positive home pregnancy test). The first visit will occur around 8 weeks. From there, you’ll need one prenatal appointment each month until the 28th week. From the 28th week to the 36th week you’ll come in every two weeks. From the 36th week until delivery you’ll come in once a week.

We also understand that every woman will have different needs throughout her pregnancy. We have worked with women of all ages and preexisting health problems and can tailor our care to meet each patient’s health needs.

Minimally Invasive Gynecologic Surgery

When your doctor informs you that you may need surgery, it can be overwhelming and you may be worried about scars or discomfort, especially when it has to do with obstetric or gynecological care. Luckily, due to advancements in technology, there are many minimally invasive surgical techniques available to help with many of your obstetric and gynecological needs. Our providers Dr. Imad Mufarrij, Dr. Manjit Risam, Dr. Sami Mufarrij, Dr. Cheryl Silverbrook, Kristin Porter, WHNP at Capital Women's Care Division 66 can help care for many conditions that could be causing you pain and discomfort with a shorter recovery time and a safe procedure.

There are a variety of reproductive conditions that you might be dealing with. These can cause pain and could even affect your ability to conceive. It’s important to deal with these issues so that they don’t cause further problems, but the idea of surgery might be scary to deal with. Minimally invasive techniques make surgery safe and effective, provides fewer complications, and can help reduce your pain.

Some of the common procedures that these minimally invasive techniques can be used for include:

  • Hysterectomy
  • Laparoscopy
  • Hysteroscopy
  • Endometrial ablation

With these minimally invasive surgery techniques, your doctor should be able to address certain obstetric issues and make your overall reproduction process a little easier. These techniques also help you avoid needing to stay overnight after a surgery so that you can recover peacefully at your own home.

Minimally invasive surgery also ensures that there is less of a risk of infection and less blood loss, making the surgery safer and more reliable. There’s also less scarring involved, and you can easily treat your health problems without worry or fear.
