Dr. Imad Mufarrij
Dr. Imad Mufarrij graduated with a Bachelor's of Science in Biology and Chemistry from the American University of Beirut. He went on to obtain his Master's of Science degree in Medical Microbiology. He obtained his Medical Degree from the American University of Beirut where he also completed his clinical training and residency.
Dr. Imad Mufarrij currently serves as clinical faculty at The George Washington University School of Medicine and Howard University School of Medicine. He has served as the OB/GYN Clerkship and Education Director at Holy Cross Hospital since 1995. He has received numerous teaching awards for his consistent dedication to the education of medical students and resident physicians. He is a founding board member of the G.A.T.E. Institute for Advanced and Minimally Invasive Surgery at Holy Cross Hospital. He is certified in advanced laparoscopy and hysteroscopy by The American Association of Gynecologic Laparoscopists (AAGL).
He has been involved in hospital leadership at Holy Cross Hospital for over 20 years.
He is fluent in Arabic and French. He is proficient in Medical Spanish and German.
Dr. Manjit Risam
Dr. Risam has been practicing obstetrics and gynecology for over 30 years at her current locations in Bowie and Greenbelt, Maryland and is an Assistant Clinical Professor of Obstetrics and Gynecology with The George Washington University School of Medicine. Dr. Risam graduated from Lady Harding Medical School in India and went on to complete her training in the United Kingdom where she was in private practice for several years and remains a member of the Royal College of Obstetricians & Gynecologists. Dr. Risam is Board Certified and a fellow of the American College of Obstetrics and Gynaecology. Her special interests include preventive care for women of all ages, teaching and mentoring junior physicians. Dr. Risam is married and has two children.
Dr. Sami Mufarrij
Dr. Sami Mufarrij graduated from The George Washington University with a Bachelor's of Science in Biology. He then obtained his Medical Degree from Ross University School of Medicine. He returned to The George Washington University to complete his residency training in obstetrics and gynecology.
Dr. Sami Mufarrij now serves as an Assistant Clinical Professor at The George Washington University School of Medicine and Ross University School of Medicine. He has been the recipient of several distinguished faculty and teaching awards.
His interest areas include minimally invasive gynecologic surgery, high-risk obstetrics, and fertility surgery (including tubal re-anastomosis and excision of endometriosis), and vaginal surgery.

Dr. Cheryl Silverbrook
Dr. Cheryl Silverbrook graduated Summa Cum Laude from The George Washington University with a Bachelor's of Science in Public Health. She then obtained her Medical Degree with distinction from The George Washington University School of Medicine. She stayed at The George Washington University to complete her obstetrics and gynecology residency. She served as an Administrative Chief Resident in her final year of residency. She is currently an Assistant Clinical Professor at the George Washington University School of Medicine and Saba School of Medicine.
Dr. Silverbrook is proficient in medical Spanish. Her interest areas include high-risk obstetrics, cervical cancer screening and colposcopy, minimally invasive gynecologic surgery, preconception counseling, and routine gynecologic care.
